Happy day before Easter (or Happy Passover)
Hi OFF family:
I'm off for a week; headed to Chicago to see my family and friends for Easter, my birthday, my grandnephews birthday, etc. Brought in a cake to work tonight to celebrate my birthday (it's next week) and shared it with my coworkers. Work went OK, nothing exciting. Ready for vacation.
So what's new with you? I have to run to Petsmart before I leave ... I should've bought it yesterday when I was out ... didn't realize I was short on cat food.
Have a good day.

Happy Day before Easter Family,
I am getting packed for my trip to Michigan tomorrow. I am trying to pack light, and finding it challenging. I always seem to pack a lot. I plan to be there at least two weeks, maybe more.
Today, I am heading to the shower, and then to an AA meeting. After that, I must finish cleaning out the car, and then start packing it. I hope I can fit everything. I do have to stop by my sister's to drop off some kielbasi, and pick up a fire truck my mother bought for my grandson at the Salvation Army. She said it's a Tonka, and it is in perfect condition.
Hope everyone has a blessed weekend. For those who celebrate the Resurrection, remember it's meaning.
Love,
Trish

Carla,
My trip to Michigan depends on the birth of my third grandchild. If it's late, I will probably be there then. If it's early, then it is unlikely.
I leave Sunday for a minimum of two weeks.
I'll keep you posted.
Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning OFF-
What a difference a day or two makes. After the frustration of several days ago I had a good drive south yesterday. Along the way I stopped at ROSS and bought an outfit to wear to a wedding at the end of the month. Size 18! OMG! I have not seen that size in 20 years at least. So to say the least I am amazed and delighted.
I just need to avoid the temptation of easter candy for the the weekend and then I'll survive the remainder of the month to return to Maine. Clearly, dress shopping bouyed my resolve to go for those last 30 pounds that they want me to loose for their goal.
Vicki- I'll be thinking of you this weekend. Hope you, Butch and the girls have a happy restful weekend!
Eileen- Happy Birthday and enjoy your visit to Chicago!
Judy - Wish I was at your house for ham and cheesy potatoes but can do without the cold weather.
Happy Easter and Passover to everyone!

Hi Eileen and all to follow
I haven't written much lately, but I always come here sometime during the day to see what's up with everyone.
Not much new with me except that I bought a house as an investment. I was looking for a duplex, but couldn't find what I wanted locally and finally decided on a bungalow with three bedrooms, fireplace, dining room, etc.and situated on a very pretty creek. I am having the interor painted, but the rest of the house has been updated - new hi eff. furnace, copper plumbing and no old "knob and tube" wiring - so there is really very little to do before I rent it out. I have been very, very lucky with tenants previously, so, knock wood, I hope the same happens this time.
Two more weeks and I'll be at the end of the school year!! Lots to do before then, but it will be an end to some fairly large classes and some fairly large marking, so it will be good to move on. I teach again in May for four weeks, but that will be it for teaching until September.
I have just booked a trip to Ireland for two weeks in the summer - both the north and the south. I will be making the trip that my father always wanted to make and didn't. I think that it will be emotional for me to land in Dublin, Ireland and see some of the places that my relatives emigrated from - both north and south. I've been to Europe before, but while I loved going and seeing other cultures and places, it didn't pull at my heart strings like arranging for this trip did.
My heart goes out to all of you who are having issues to deal with.
I will end today on this note... Margaret

Hi OFF buddies!
Woke up feeling sassy this morning (Had the last of four Iron IV infusions yesterday), so I fixed my hair, spackled on the makeup and pulled on a really cute outfit made up of two Goodwill finds (flared beige and black cotton skirt, black knitted top with a bit of cleavage), and platform shoes (not from Goodwill). Got a lot of appreciative looks from the male staff at Saturday school, including the custodian and security guard. Great for the ego

Hello Eileen and All,
Getting a late start this morning. Got up and then took a nap. I guess it's okay to do that once in a while. I want to clean house today but Ellen is napping now. She still has her cough and is real pale. No energy. She has an appointment with the PCP on Monday. Hope they have something to get her totally well again. This has been going on way too long.
Everyone have a blessed day. Mag
